STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
In Maths Soc, we like to encourage members to get involved in order to enhance their university experience. See our current opportunities below...
STUDENT MENTOR SCHEME
The Maths Soc Student Mentor Scheme began in 2016 and was used to connect freshers with a second year student to provide a support system and communication platform, as well as look out for the welfare of new students. The role of a mentor is to answer any queries that their student may have and ensure they are informed about all the learning and support resources available to Surrey students.

The job of a mentor is stress-free; if the mentor cannot help with a particular issue then they may advise a student to take the problem to a student support worker or Departmental staff.

Applications to become a 2020/21 student mentor will soon be open and the Department will be in touch about this. If you'd like more information now, please contact Maths Soc.
